Photography Services Descriptions
Below is a lot of information, but we feel it is important for our couples to fully understand the breadth of the services we are offering.  We are proud of our full service capabilities, and your pictures will show the difference.  If you have any questions please give us a call.  We are here to help make this the day of your dreams.

Our Photography Philosophy
Emotions Studios maintains a largely photojournalist style.  We treat the wedding as the wonderful event that it is, and not simply an on location photo shoot.  We keep the posing only to what the bride and groom request, so this way they can spend the day enjoying the sites and sounds of their wedding with their guests..
The more formal photography is organized ahead of time with the bridal couple, so we make the most efficient use of time after the wedding ceremony. 

The Timeline for Services
Engagement Pictures - The engagement picture is taken shortly after the booking of the date.
Pre-Wedding schedule review - About 2 months before the wedding we ask that you fill out a pre-wedding schedule sheet.
Bridal Portrait - About 1 month before the wedding we recommend the bride setup a bridal session.  Full dress and make-up should be employed.  We welcome family and friends to be part of this special portrait session.  This is typically when the bride finally realizes that "Oh my goodness, I'm getting married".
Final review meeting - This is where we review the final schedule and make sure all locations and times are correct.  We also review the formal picture groups that are being requested.  Concerns or questions can be addressed at anytime but many couples use this time to go over their lists.
Wedding Day - We arrive at the bride's house to take pictures of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready.  If an assistant is used, he/she will go to the groom's location.  The rest of the day follows the schedule that we reviewed.  Believe us, the day will go by faster than you can imagine.
Proof Presentation (recommended)- About 3 weeks after the wedding we provide the newlyweds with a printed proof album.  We design the album to our artistry and present the design to the couple online.  With the album design online and the proof book in their hands, it is much easier to request additional pictures or changes to your final wedding story album.
Album pickup - After the couple makes their album selections, we can schedule an album pickup in 4-6 weeks.
Satisfaction Survey - The final step!  About a month after picking up the album, we send out a satisfaction survey.  These surveys are critical to us.  We are always trying to make sure we successfully meet our couples' needs.

Proofing
Printed Proofs - Let's face it.  It is difficult to look at proofs on a computer screen.  This is why we recommend that our wedding couples get the printed proof book.  It will be much easier for them to organize which prints they want in the album, or as a separate framed picture.  We try to have the proof album ready within 3 weeks of the wedding
Online Picture Proofs - All our weddings include online proofs.  We upload the majority of pictures taken, and put them online for viewing and ordering.  All pictures that are ordered online are then color balanced and corrected prior to printing.  Our wedding couples often like to look at the proofs online while on their honeymoon.
Online Album Design Proof - We design the wedding album to tell the story of the day with the pictures that we have captured.  The newlyweds then review this album so they can make additions or changes.  This is a no stress feature since the new couple can spend as much time as they need to customize their album, from the comfort of their own home.

Wedding Albums
We are proud to offer ZookBooks as our album company.  Our couples have been raving about our new borderless albums.  We offer 3 album sizes.  an 8, 10 or 12 inch square album.  The 10" is the standard wedding album for our couples and the 8" is the standard album for the parents.  We can upgrade to a larger album at any time.  The albums come standard with 20 sides.  Additional pages are easily added on. 

Pricing
All our pricing is available online.  Many photographers hide many of their costs and try to make as much money as possible after the wedding.  We do not do this.  We print our price list when you sign the contract and place it in your folder.  These prices are locked in when you submit your reservation fee.

Lighting
Starting in 2006 we will be moving from the standard 1 camera light to a brand new dual lighting setup utilizing bare bulb technology.  Pictures taken under these lights simply pop off the page.  We are very excited to be offering this to you.

Slide Show DVD
Many of our couples also use our Videography Services.  If they do a Picture slide show from the photography pictures, these will be included on the Wedding Story DVD.  If they do not use our Videography services then they will get a separate DVD with the albums. 

Black and White
Our love of photography started with Black and White.  We are one of the few photographers left in our area that still use real Black and White film that we develop and print ourselves in the dark room.  No other process (Cold Press or Photoshop) can equal the quality achieved by using real black and white film and papers.  If Black and White is very important to you make sure you give is a call.

When choosing Emotions Studios for both Photography and Videography you will have a team of professionals devoted to your day.  You will not have to worry about separate companies stepping on each others toes.  The team will have one person  that will coordinate both mediums so you can relax and enjoy your day.
